Congress only secular, unifying force in State: Mir

Jammu:

Cautioningthe people against designs of communal divisive forces and making ferventappeal to maintain communal harmony at all costs, President JKPCC G.A Mir todaysaid that Congress is the only secular and unifying force in the State whichhas always strengthened the secularism and it will continue to safeguard thesecular fabric of the Country and State.

He alsosaid that Congress will never compromise with the communal forces in the Stateand country for the sake of power.

Thosewho also addressed the rally included CLP Leader  Nawang Rigzin Jora,PCC Co-treasurer Rajnish Sharma, General Secretary S.S Chani, Former Minister GharuRam, Vinod Sharma, Narinder Sharma, Hari Singh Chib and others.

Addressingthe gathering Mir said that Congress has never compromised and will notcompromise for the sake of power with any communal or divisive forces in the State. 

Cautioningthe people against those opportunist political forces who exploit the religious and regional emotions of the people for the sake ofvested political interests and do not hesitate to share power with ideologically opposite forces, Mir said that Congress hasalways  played the role of unifying force in this sensitiveState, having regional, religious and linguistic and cultural diversities and at times hassuffered  electoral losses  also because of the capabilities ofrival  parties to  exploit different kinds of emotions of the people.

Besidesthe deteriorating situation in the State, Mir said that BJP-PDP is responsiblefor creating social and political uncertainty as the approach of the bothcoalition partners is totally contradictory on all sensitive issues but despitethat they want to remain cling to power at the cost of overall interests andwishes of the people of the State.  

Miralso blamed the PDP for utterly failing to create a peaceful atmosphere in the Stateespecially in valley and said the contradiction in the approach of PDP-BJP and severedifferences on certain sensitive issues was responsible for the deterioratingsituation, as a result,  the people in all the three regions have sufferedhugely.

Addressingthe gathering CLP Leader Nawang Rigzin Jora said that Congress Party will defeatthe designs of anti peace forces vitiating atmosphere to serve their vestedinterests.
