Director Agriculture Kashmir visits DCTC, Srinagar. Under HADP department working for the promotion of Mushroom // Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal.

Srinagar/29-04-2024/Director Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal today visited "Demonstration cum Training Centre" for Mushroom cultivation District Srinagar. He inspected different blocks of the centre, where he was briefed by concerned technical experts.

While speaking to the officers/officials of the Demonstration cum Training Centre for Mushroom cultivation, Director Agriculture highlighted the importance of small scale cottage industries like mushroom cultivation. He said that from last few years farmers and young agriculture entrepreneurs are taking mushroom cultivation on commercial lines. He said that department is already working on a multidimensional model under HADP for the promotion of mushroom Cultivation.

During the visit Director Agriculture said that various interventions by the department in said scheme is aimed at providing farmers with modern techniques in mushroom production. He asked the concerned officers to organise round the year training sessions for Mushroom farmers so that more vibrance could be added to the scheme.

Joint director Mushroom Sartaj Ahmad Shah and the officers of DCTC were present on the occasion.
