In a significant leadership development, J&K Bank’s Managing Director & CEO, Amitava Chatterjee, has been appointed as the Chairman and Nominee Director on the Board of JKB Financial Services Limited (JKBFSL), the Bank’s wholly owned subsidiary.
The appointment was formalized during JKBFSL’s 74th Board Meeting held today at the Bank’s Corporate Headquarters in Srinagar. The meeting was attended by Board Directors Syed Rais Maqbool, Sunil Gupta, Mohammad Muzzafar Wani, and JKBFSL Managing Director Syed Aadil Bashir Andrabi, along with key members of the management team including the Company Secretary, Chief Financial Officer, and heads of Risk Management and IT.
Welcoming the new Chairman, MD Syed Aadil Bashir Andrabi and the Board expressed confidence in Mr. Chatterjee’s leadership and vision to drive JKBFSL’s next phase of growth. The Board reiterated its commitment to excellence, transparency, and value creation for stakeholders under his guidance.
Addressing the Board, Chairman Amitava Chatterjee praised JKBFSL’s strong financial performance and sustained growth. He commended the team for their dedication to operational excellence and emphasized the company’s growing importance in the regional financial ecosystem.
