Azad Reviews Development at Hazratbal Shrine, Appreciates Waqf Board Efforts

SRINAGAR: ANB:Former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on Wednesday visited the historic Hazratbal Shrine and took note of the development and improvement works undertaken at the revered religious site. Speaking to media persons during his visit, Azad said he observed a marked change at the shrine compared to his previous visit nearly three to four years ago. He appreciated the development initiatives undertaken under the supervision of J&K Waqf Board Chairperson Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi and acknowledged the cooperation extended by the local residents. Azad also highlighted the potential of Kashmir’s shrines to contribute to pilgrim tourism while continuing to serve as important centres of religious and spiritual significance. “Outstanding work has been carried out. I congratulate Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi and the local people of Hazratbal for their cooperation,” Azad said. ANB
