Sopore, 19 Mar 2024: As a step towards empowering young girls through sports Indian Army organised a Badminton Tournament at Sanctorum Public School, Sopore. The event was conducted at indoor badminton court, where young girls showcased the spirit of athleticism and camaraderie throughout the tournament.
A total of eight teams participated from Sopore, demonstrating their skills and passion for the sport. The tournament, which spanned over two days on March 18 and 19 2024, witnessed a high level of competition and exemplary sportsmanship.
The league matches were well contested, providing a platform for the participants to showcase their talent and determination. The tournament was divided into two groups: singles and doubles, catering to a variety of playing styles and strategies.
In the singles format, the team of Valley Public School emerged victorious, displaying exceptional skill and resilience throughout the tournament. In the doubles format, the team of Amargad High School showcased outstanding teamwork and coordination, securing their triumph in the competition.
All the participants were felicitated with prizes, acknowledging their dedication and commitment to the sport. The tournament served as a platform for the girls to showcase their talent and passion for badminton, inspiring others to pursue their dreams fearlessly.
