Samba — The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu and Kashmir, convened its monthly meeting of MLAs at Akhilash Farm in Samba district to review organizational activities, assess ongoing developmental initiatives, and strategize future outreach plans across the Union Territory.
The meeting was chaired by Sat Sharma (CA), Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and President of BJP J&K, alongside Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma. Senior leaders including Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organization), and Dr. Narinder Singh, BJP National Secretary and MLA, also addressed the gathering.
Among those present were BJP General Secretaries Baldev Singh Billawaria and Gopal Mahajan, several party MLAs — including Dr. D.K. In his address, Sat Sharma emphasized that the BJP remains the “true voice of the people” of Jammu and Kashmir. He urged MLAs to work in “mission mode” to ensure that every citizen benefits from the policies of the Modi government. Stressing the need for direct engagement with voters, Sharma called on legislators to extend the party’s welfare-oriented governance model to every household. He commended the MLAs for raising people-centric issues in the Assembly and for countering attempts to create regional divides.
Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma lauded the party’s decade-long record of development and integrity in the region. He reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and rapid progress, while urging MLAs to further intensify grassroots outreach.
Sharma added that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have “seen through the politics of deceit” practiced by the NC, Congress, and PDP, and are increasingly rallying behind the BJP’s vision of peace, prosperity, and empowerment.
