BJP Outreach Drive in Akhnoor Focuses on Public Engagement and Inclusive Development

AKHNOOR, JUNE 6: As part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s ongoing Special Outreach Campaign, BJP General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul on Saturday interacted with prominent citizens and intellectuals in Akhnoor to gather feedback and discuss issues related to public welfare, governance, and regional development. Koul was accompanied by Akhnoor Prabhari Vinay Gupta, District President Akhnoor Kuldeep Raj Sharma, MLA Akhnoor Mohan Lal Bhagat, and former MLA Rajiv Sharma during the outreach programme. The interaction brought together several eminent personalities, including Dr. K.C. Bhagat, Krishan Gupta, Tarsem Gupta, Dr. Surinder Gupta, G.R. Sharma, Mangu Ram Sharma, and Lecturer Vikramjeet Singh. Participants shared their views and suggestions on a range of issues concerning education, social development, community participation, and the overall progress of the region. Addressing the gathering, Ashok Koul said that continuous engagement with all sections of society remains central to the BJP’s vision of inclusive and participatory development. He described eminent citizens as the intellectual strength of society and said their experience and guidance are crucial for effective policymaking and addressing public concerns. He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the party is committed to ensuring transparent, accountable, and development-oriented governance. Vinay Gupta said the outreach campaign aims to strengthen communication between the party and respected members of society, enabling constructive suggestions from the grassroots to contribute to better governance and public welfare initiatives. Kuldeep Raj Sharma stated that the interaction provided an important platform for understanding local aspirations and concerns, while helping strengthen ties between the public and their representatives. MLA Mohan Lal Bhagat said feedback from respected citizens would further reinforce ongoing efforts towards the comprehensive development of the region. Former MLA Rajiv Sharma emphasized that nation-building is a collective responsibility and highlighted the importance of active participation by intellectuals, professionals, and social leaders in achieving sustainable progress and social harmony. The participating intellectuals welcomed the initiative and expressed their willingness to contribute towards the development of Akhnoor and the welfare of society. The programme concluded with a shared commitment to promoting public participation, good governance, and inclusive development.
