Srinagar, Oct 22 (ANB): The Jammu and Kashmir Police have firmly dismissed rumors circulating on social media about non-local laborers being asked to leave the Valley.
The rumors, which had spread across several platforms, sparked concern among laborers working in Kashmir.

According to the Associated News Bureau (ANB), in response, the Kashmir Police issued a statement on X (formerly Twitter), assuring the public that the claims are entirely unfounded.

"The recent post in the social media about non-local labourers being asked to leave, is completely baseless. The J&K Police is committed to maintain security and a sense of safety to all intending to earn their livelihood," read the official post from the Kashmir Police.

Authorities emphasized that maintaining peace and ensuring the safety of all residents and workers in the region remain top priorities.

The police further urged people not to believe or spread rumors that could disrupt the peace and harmony in the area. (ANB)
