J&K SPORTS COUNCIL FOOTBALL ACADEMY LIFTED KASHMIR YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP



Srinagar: The Kashmir Youth Football Championship 2023 concluded today at Bakshi Stadium where two finals were played in boys and girls category. 

Kashmir Arrows defeated KIC Budgam one goal to nil through penalty kick in the starting minutes of the match and maintained the lead till the end. 

In the boys final JKSC Football Academy defeated FC Ganderbal by a solitary goal scored by Numaan in the 28 min of the match through fantastic header assisted by Captain Farhans wide free kick. FC Ganderbal tried hard for equaliser but the defense of SCFA gave no chance to the opponents. The winning team received a trophy with a cash prize of ₹75 thousand and awards of the match. JKSC Football Academy team is being trained by the renowned coaches Ishfaq Ahmad and Javed Sofi. 

The championship was organised by Indian Army in collaboration with J&K Sports Council and Kashmir Speaks and was sponsored by Pundit Balan Group. 16 teams competed in the boys category and 6 teams in the girls category making a total of 34 matches that were played in the championship under the age group of under 19.
