Addressing the gathering, the LG said, “Every Indian heart has an inner song, and that song is Vande Mataram. During the freedom struggle, whenever someone sang Vande Mataram, countless others hummed it back , creating a bond that united the nation.” He urged the youth to draw inspiration from this legacy and channel it into dedicated service to Maa Bharti.

LG Sinha also highlighted the enduring influence of Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, whose composition and ideals helped shape India’s freedom movement. “We must spread the ideas and ideals of Bankim Chandra and use their spirit to take the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir forward,” he said. Calling for courage, wisdom, and firm conviction, he added that these were the qualities Bankim Chandra would have expected in the effort to build a peaceful and prosperous J&K. ANB
