Srinagar, Oct 31 (ANB): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today said he was happy that J&K stood proudly on the national stage - tall, self-reliant, and full of self-confidence.
He said while addressing a gathering on UT celebration Day, Sinha said it is a reality that J&K is a UT today and members have taken oath & affirmed their true faith and allegiance to the Constitution, according to the associated news bureau (ANB).
“When it becomes a state, we will definitely celebrate statehood day. Hon'ble PM and Hon'ble HM has assured that statehood will be given at an appropriate time,” he added.
Sinha listed the achievements of the past 5 years of transformation as a report card of PM Narendra Modi's commitment to the people of J&K.
He dreamt of seeing every family in J & K prosperous. “My dream is to see Faster development of the infrastructure, industries and fruits of growth reach the last person in the queue,” said the LG.
Sinha added that peace, stability, rule of law and time-tested democratic values make J&K UT an attractive investment destination. (ANB)
