Leh, Jan 30, ANB: Ladakh Regional Ice Hockey Championship 2025 was conducted at Leh under the aegis of Fire and Fury Corps from 28-30 January 2025. The final matches were conducted on 30 Jan 2025 at Gupuk Ice Rink, Leh.
A total of seven teams from various regions of Ladakh actively participated in the competition. Winner teams, best player and best goalkeeper were felicitated by Major General DK Singh, SM, VSM, Chief of Staff, Fire and Fury Corps. Shri Tsering Angchuk, Deputy Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC and Shri Nawang Gyapo, President, Sports Association Ladakh attended the event.
Fire and Fury Corps is promoting Ice Hockey in Ladakh with various initiatives. Construction of Ice Hockey rink, provision of Ice Hockey Kits and conduct of various Hockey tournaments are carried out as part of Operation Sadbhavana. These initiatives by the Indian Army promote sportsmanship, good health and winter tourism in Ladakh. (ANB)
