Jammu, February 20, 2026: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended the Mahayagya and Prana-Pratishtha ceremony at the Shri Lakshminarayan Temple in Bankatashiv, Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh, where he outlined a threefold vision for India’s future.
Addressing devotees at the historic religious site, the Lieutenant Governor said India must strive to become the preeminent nation in the world, emerge as a formidable global power, and establish itself as a leading centre of knowledge and intellectual wealth.
Describing the ceremony as a symbol of “civilizational revival,” he said it represents the revitalisation of timeless values and their dissemination across society. He emphasized that every citizen bears the responsibility of honouring the country’s rich heritage and ensuring its continuity.
“The devotion that preserved our culture through adversity must now guide the younger generation. The wisdom of the past should be transformed into the strength of the present to illuminate the path ahead,” he said.
Highlighting the broader national context, the Lieutenant Governor stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is witnessing not only economic advancement but also a renewed civilizational consciousness. He said the country has firmly positioned itself as an emerging global power through inclusive growth, technological advancement, and the development of world-class infrastructure.
He added that India is experiencing renewed momentum across sectors, alongside a resurgence of spiritual and cultural awareness.
Referring to the vision for 2047, when the nation will mark 100 years of independence, the Lieutenant Governor said a developed India would be driven by economic aspirations while remaining spiritually enriched and culturally self-assured.
He expressed confidence that the Shri Lakshminarayan Temple would serve as a source of inspiration for the youth, encouraging them to draw strength from the nation’s heritage while contributing to ongoing transformations across various spheres of development.
