Jammu, July 2 , ANB; Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday flagged off the first batch of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2025 pilgrims from the Bhagwati Nagar Base Camp in Jammu, marking the ceremonial commencement of one of the country’s most revered spiritual journeys.
Wishing the devotees a safe and fulfilling pilgrimage, the LG said, “This sacred pilgrimage is not just a spiritual journey but also one of self-discovery. May the blessings of Baba Amarnath Ji bring peace, prosperity, and harmony to all.” According to News Service Associated News Bureau ANB,
Addressing the media during the flag-off ceremony, LG Sinha expressed his heartfelt prayers for the safety and spiritual upliftment of all pilgrims undertaking the arduous journey to the holy cave shrine nestled in the Himalayas. “I prayed to Baba Amarnath for peace and divine blessings for all citizens. I hope every spiritual seeker has a soul-stirring experience,” he said.
The Lieutenant Governor also emphasized the elaborate arrangements made by the administration to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the Yatra via both the Baltal and Pahalgam routes. He appreciated the efforts of the security forces, civil administration, and volunteers for their dedication.
Visuals from the ceremony showed enthusiastic pilgrims chanting religious hymns, receiving blessings, and boarding buses with high spirits, escorted by tight security.
The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2025 officially begins on July 3 and will conclude on Shravan Purnima, drawing lakhs of devotees from across India. ANB
