Lieutenant Governor Inaugurates 6th Edition of Kashmiri Pandit Premier League in Jammu, says youth Must Dream Big, Set Clear Goals and Achieve Them with Dedication



Jammu, December 8, 2025: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, on Monday inaugurated the 6th edition of the Kashmiri Pandit Premier League (KPPL) at M.A. Stadium, Jammu. Addressing the gathering, he urged players and youth to dream big, set clear goals in life, and turn them into reality through hard work, dedication and perseverance.

Highlighting the transformative role of sports, the Lieutenant Governor said, “The power of sports can transform individuals, society and the nation. We must believe in ourselves, promote shared values, embrace challenges and remain focused to strengthen national identity and unity.”

The Lieutenant Governor extended his greetings and best wishes to all participating players and those associated with the league. He reaffirmed that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Government of India and the UT Administration remain committed to the welfare of the Kashmiri Pandit community.

Commending the Lalitaditya Sports Education and Health Organization for its efforts in promoting sports, LG Sinha encouraged its members to collaborate with schools and government departments across other states and UTs to engage more effectively with the youth.

He stressed the need to develop a long-term empowerment roadmap for Kashmiri Pandit youth, integrating skill development and career preparation, and building upon the success of initiatives such as the LG Special Camp.

Those present at the ceremony included Ashish Kachroo, Vice President of Lalitaditya Sports Education and Health Organization; Vinay Koul, General Secretary; Ankur Bagati, Coordinator; P.N. Tickoo; Deepak Raina; Raman Raina; prominent citizens and sportspersons.

The event was also attended by DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma; Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Dr. Rakesh Minhas; Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (Migrants), Dr. Arvind Karwani; Secretary J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul; along with senior officers from the civil and police administration.
