MP Ghulam Ali Khatana Holds Public Darbar in Uri, Reviews Development and Service Delivery
BARAMULLA, June 4: Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Ghulam Ali Khatana on Thursday visited Uri and held a Public Darbar at Town Hall Lagama to hear public grievances and review the developmental requirements of the border town.
During the interaction, delegations and public representatives from various areas of Uri, including Paranpillan, Bijhama and Boniyar, submitted a range of demands and concerns related to infrastructure development, healthcare, education, public services and other local issues.
The MP listened to the grievances and suggestions presented by the participants and assured them that all genuine concerns would be taken up with the relevant authorities for necessary action.
Subsequently, Khatana chaired a review meeting with district and sectoral officers to assess the status of ongoing development works and the delivery of public services across the region. He emphasized the importance of prompt redressal of public grievances and directed officials to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues affecting residents.
Reaffirming his commitment to the welfare and development of Uri, the Rajya Sabha member stressed the need for coordinated efforts among government departments to enhance service delivery and address public concerns in a responsive and efficient manner.
The programme was attended by officers from various departments, local representatives and members of the public.
