Srinagar, April, 26, National Conference Vice-President Omar Abdullah raised alarm on Friday, accusing the Election Commission of India (ECI) of potentially biasing LS polls in the Anantnag-Rajouri constituency. Abdullah cautioned against what he termed as a "well-planned scheme" to delay the elections, citing concerns over the condition of the Mughal road.
Addressing reporters, Abdullah asserted that the purported rescheduling could adversely affect the electoral process in Jammu and Kashmir, urging the ECI to consider the perspectives of all political parties involved. He criticized the ECI's recent letter, questioning its impartiality and highlighting the absence of certain parties from the constituency.
Abdullah emphasized the importance of fairness in the electoral process and vowed to formally address the issue with the ECI, expressing concern over the potential implications of any perceived bias.
