Srinagar, December 2025:
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday announced the arrest of another key suspect in connection with last month’s Delhi terrorist bomb blast.
In an official statement, the NIA identified the arrested individual as Dr. Bilal Naseer Malla from Baramulla, marking him as the eighth accused in the case RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI. He was apprehended by an NIA team in Delhi.
According to the agency, Bilal Naseer Malla was involved in the conspiracy behind the terrorist attack near Red Fort that claimed 11 lives and injured several others. Investigations revealed that he had knowingly provided logistical support to the deceased accused, Umar Un Nabi, and is also charged with destroying evidence linked to the attack.
The NIA stated that investigations into the conspiracy are ongoing, and the agency is coordinating closely with central and state authorities to unravel all aspects of the plot.
