PCO Kulgam Reviews Census Preparedness in D.H. Pora, Stresses Accuracy in House Listing Operations

KULGAM, June 2: Principal Census Officer (PCO), Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, conducted a comprehensive field inspection in D.H. Pora on Tuesday to review the progress of ongoing House Listing Operations (HLO) being carried out under the Census exercise. During the visit, the PCO assessed the status of census-related activities and evaluated the preparedness of field-level functionaries engaged in the enumeration process. Shahzad Alam interacted with the Charge Officer, Supervisors, and Enumerators to review various aspects of the operation, including the verification of Enumeration Block demarcation, preparation of layout maps for House Listing Blocks (HLBs), house-listing work, and compliance with prescribed Census guidelines. The inspection focused on ensuring that all census activities are being conducted systematically and in accordance with established procedures to facilitate the smooth execution of the nationwide Census exercise. Emphasizing the significance of the ongoing operations, the PCO directed field staff to maintain the highest standards of accuracy, transparency, and diligence while carrying out their responsibilities. He underscored that reliable data collection is essential for the successful conduct of the Census and for informed planning and policy formulation.
