Sarah Rizvi-IPS Dy. Inspector General of Police, IRP Range Jammu visits Battalion Headquarters and interacts with officers & Jawans*



Jammu: 05 :June: ANB: Smt. Sarah Rizvi-IPS Dy. Inspector General of Police, IRP Range Jammu visited Battalion Headquarters IRP 12th Nud Samba today and took stock of various activities carried out by IRP-12th Battalion and functioning of the Unit and security of Battalion premises.During the visit DIGP took the Guard of Honour. Thereafter, DIGP Inaugurated the newly constructed tradesmen complex of this unit, conducted Darbar in which more than 160 officers/officials of the unit participated. The darbar proceedings were conducted in a very cordial manner and during darbar the officials put forwarded their genuine grievances which were redressed on the spot. The DIGP passed on spot directions to the Commandant to conduct the Darbar/orderly rooms on fortnightly basis to redress the grievances of the Jawans and also assured that the welfare measure falling under the competence of PHQ/APHQ/ZAPHQ shall be redressed and appropriate action shall be taken accordingly.
During briefing DIGP IRP Jammu emphasized that while performing Law & Order and other important duties such they should be fully equipped with Law & order equipments and required Arms & Ammunitions and the problem should be dealt while observing utmost restraint. The officials were also directed to exhibit discipline, inculcate the habit of PT Parade/Yoga for overall fitness and always try to become people friendly.
Abrar A. Chowdhary-JKPS Commandant IRP- 12th Battalion spoke on the occasion and gave a brief resume of activities and nature of duties of the Battalion. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the worthy DIGP IRP Jammu for sparing her precious time to visit the battalion Headquarter and listen the grievances of the jawans.
Under Civic Action Program (CAP) 2022-23 the DIGP IRP Range Jammu distributed the study material such as School bags, lunch boxes, notebooks and other stationery items among 60 School Children of Govt. Middle School Mananu Samba.


Other officers present on the occasion were  Perbeet Singh-JKPS (SP) DyCO/Adjutant, Mohd Ibrahim-SP DyCO,  Tahir Hussain DySP C.C "A" Coy & Shri Sunil Kumar DySP C.C "C" Coy of this unit. ANB
