New Delhi, 26 June 26 (ANB): On the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Union Home Minister Amit Shah reaffirmed the Modi government's unwavering commitment to eradicating drug abuse from the country. according to the News Service Associated News Bureau ANB, In a social media post, Shah said the government is cracking down on narco-cartels with an iron hand while simultaneously working with empathy to help addicted youth reintegrate into society. Calling drugs the “biggest scourge for the youth,” the Home Minister praised the efforts of all stakeholders in the country’s fight for a Drug-Free Bharat, and wished strength to the “warriors and allies” involved in the mission. He underlined that the government is adopting a whole-of-government approach to tackle the menace, combining enforcement, rehabilitation, awareness, and international cooperation. Shah expressed hope that the day would further strengthen national resolve to defeat drug abuse in all its forms. ANB
