Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation and Senior BJP Leader Amit Shah scathing attack on Congress on ‘Inheritance Tax’ remarks

Hon’ble Union Home and Cooperation Minister and Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Shri Amit Shah strongly criticized the Congress, particularly Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Congress Party advisor Sam Pitroda, for advocating the concept of 'inheritance tax'. Shri Shah targeted them, stating that after Sam Pitroda's remarks, the true intentions of the Congress party have been laid bare, exposing their agenda.

Shri Shah remarked that Sam Pitroda's statement regarding wealth redistribution has unveiled the appeasement politics of the Congress. In essence, it confirms the party's intention to confiscate the property of the majority and redistribute it among the minorities. This revelation underscores that the Congress has never prioritized the empowerment of India's poor, Dalits, youth, tribes, and backward classes.

Senior BJP leader remarked that Sam Pitroda's remarks have fully exposed the true face of the Congress party. He pointed out that the idea of 'Survey' was initially introduced in the Congress manifesto. During his tenure as Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh stated that minorities have the primary claim on the country's resources. Such ideology has long been associated with the Congress legacy. Now, Sam Pitroda, drawing parallels with America, has advocated for discussions on wealth distribution and the implementation of inheritance tax.

Hon’ble Union Home Minister highlighted that when Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi brought to light the Congress's intentions of eyeing people's property, figures like Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and the entire Congress party came on the back foot. Congress leaders began denying their intentions, claiming it wasn't their agenda. However, today, Sam Pitroda's statement has made the Congress's intentions crystal clear to the nation: they aim to survey individuals' private property and place it in the government treasury.

Shri Shah asserted that during the UPA government's tenure, the Congress prioritized the notion that minorities and Muslim communities held the primary claim to the country's resources. By adhering to this stance, Congress aims to redistribute the assets of ordinary citizens. Congress should either withdraw this proposal from its manifesto or acknowledge that this is indeed their intention.

Hon’ble Union Home and Cooperation Minister emphasized the importance of taking Sam Pitroda's statement seriously. He urged the public to recognize the true intentions of the Congress party, now brought to light. Shri Shah stressed that if Congress does not endorse this agenda, they should remove it from their manifesto and declare that their priority is the upliftment of the poor. As Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has emphasized that the poor, Dalits, backward people and tribals have the first right on the resources of the country. Shri Shah urged the people of the country to raise their voices against Congress' agenda.
