Anand Jain Appointed Director General of Police, Ladakh
Srinagar, June 22: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Monday appointed senior IPS officer Anand Jain as the Director General of Police (DGP) of the Union Territory of Ladakh with immediate effect.
According to an order issued by the MHA, Anand Jain, a 1999-batch AGMUT cadre IPS officer, has been transferred from the Jammu and Kashmir cadre to Ladakh, where he will serve as the DGP until further orders.
Prior to his appointment, Jain was serving in the Jammu and Kashmir Police and has held several key positions, including Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, Director of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), and Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Armed.
His appointment comes as part of the Union government's administrative reshuffle in the AGMUT cadre. ANB
