Budgam, April 30: ANB :As part of the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2024-25, Budgam Police, under the supervision of SSP Budgam Shri Nikhil Borkar (IPS), organized a free medical camp in the village of Gariend Khurd. The initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare services and raise awareness about public health and drug prevention.
Approximately 300 residents benefited from the camp, receiving free medical consultations and medications. Dr. Ajaz Ahmad Suhaff and Dr. Sajid M. Wani, Assistant Professors at Government Medical College Srinagar, led the medical team in conducting examinations and offering treatment advice. The event also saw participation from the In-charge of the Drug De-Addiction Centre at DPL Budgam, along with paramedical staff, ensuring comprehensive care for all attendees.
In addition to healthcare services, the camp featured awareness sessions on hygiene, preventive healthcare, and the dangers of substance abuse. Special emphasis was placed on encouraging youth to embrace a drug-free lifestyle, contributing to a healthier and more resilient community.
