Badminton Tournament Organised at Pandit Colony Sheikhpora , Youth-Led Initiative Highlights Need for Sports Infrastructure in Locality

Srinagar, March 27: A badminton tournament was successfully organised at Pandit Colony Sheikhpora, witnessing enthusiastic participation from local children who displayed remarkable energy, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit.
The event stood out as it was independently organised by the children of the colony, reflecting their инициативе and keen interest in promoting sports activities within the community. Such initiatives were widely appreciated for fostering teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence among the youth.
Organisers noted that children in the area have limited access to proper sports facilities and often remain neglected in this regard. They described the tournament as a positive step towards engaging young minds in constructive and healthy pursuits.
The tournament was primarily organised through the efforts of Suryansh, Kaushal, and Sumit Bhat, whose contribution was acknowledged by participants and residents alike.
Senior citizens of the colony, T.K. Koul and Ashok Hakhoo, attended the event as chief guests. They lauded the efforts of the young organisers, extended their blessings to the participants, and urged the government to take sports development in the locality seriously by providing adequate infrastructure and support.
The event concluded on a positive note, with appreciation extended to all participants and organisers for making the tournament a success. Local residents also commended the support of Sanjivani Sharda Computer Institute for encouraging sports activities among children in the area.
