Srinagar: ANB,Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday expressed gratitude to the central leadership for extending additional financial support to the Union Territory.
In a statement, the Chief Minister thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for approving Additional Central Assistance of Rs.5,000 crore for Jammu and Kashmir.
He described the assistance as timely and crucial, stating that it will significantly strengthen ongoing development efforts across the region. The Chief Minister noted that the funds are expected to accelerate key infrastructure projects and further enhance public welfare initiatives.
Omar Abdullah reiterated that such financial support would play an important role in boosting economic growth and ensuring improved delivery of essential services to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. ANB
