Jammu and Kashmir BJP President Sat Sharma CA, while reacting on the recent padyatra of Congress under the the slogan of "protecting constitutional values", said that the party is making attempts to misuse the sanctity of the Constitution for political gains, which is very unfortunate and highly condemnable.
He was addressing a meeting of BJP minority morcha at party headquarters, along with general secretary & MLA Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal and morcha president Ranjodh Singh Nalwa. This meeting was convened in connection with BJP's series of programmes being undertaken under "Samvidhan Gourav Abhiyan" commemorating 75th Constitution Day.
Sat Sharma CA said that it is indeed deeply concerning that a document meant to safeguard the rights and integrity of every citizen is being reduced to a mere tool for propaganda by the Congress leadership.
The actions and recent statements of Congress top leaders are nothing but a political stunt aimed at misleading the public. Their selective interpretation of constitutional provisions and their convenient silence on issues where their governments have failed to uphold constitutional principles reveal their hypocrisy.
Sat Sharma further said that for decades, the Congress party has been responsible for multiple instances of constitutional misuse. From imposing the Emergency, which curtailed fundamental rights, to misusing Article 356 to dismiss elected state governments, the Congress has a track record of undermining the Constitution for its own agenda.
Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, while targetting Congress, said that ironically, the this party now poses itself as the guardian of the Constitution, forgetting its historical betrayals. It is evident that their focus is not on upholding constitutional values but on spreading fear and misinformation to regain lost political ground.
Ranjodh Singh Nalwa urged the Congress leadership to stop playing politics in the name of the Constitution and engage in constructive work for the progress of the nation. It is high time they prioritize the welfare of the people over divisive narratives.
