ANB, NEWS, MARCH 10: Daily wagers working in various departments under the Banner of Jammu and Kashmir Casual, Daily wagers Forum (JKCDF) staged a massive protest demonstration in Srinagar demanding regularization and releasing of their pending salary.
The agitating employees, who were raising vociferous slogans against the government alleging that they are working for many decades in the department and are yet to be regularized.
The protesting employees threatened that they would go on an indefinite strike after Eid if their demands were not met.
They also threatened to cut water supply across Kashmir, incase their demands are not been fulfilled.
The agitated employees were planned to Gerio the residence of Chief Minister, but their attempt was foiled by the large contingent of police.
There are around 60 thousands temporary employees working in various government organizations and are demanding their regularization for years. The preset government under the leadership of Omar Abdullah has promised to regularize the services of these employees in phase manner.
