DC Ganderbal Reviews Facilities at Pandach Old Age Home, Interacts with Elderly Residents
GANDERBAL, NOVEMBER 06: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shreya Singhal, on Friday visited the Old Age Home at Pandach to assess the facilities available to senior citizens and interact with the residents.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by the District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO), Ganderbal, and other concerned officials.
During the visit, the DSWO briefed the DC on the overall functioning of the institution and outlined various welfare initiatives undertaken by the department to ensure the care, safety and well-being of senior citizens in the district.
The DC inspected different sections of the facility, including accommodation, sanitation, healthcare services and other essential amenities being provided to the residents.
Interacting with the elderly residents, she enquired about their health, daily routines and specific requirements, while listening to their concerns and feedback.
Emphasising the need to uphold the dignity and welfare of senior citizens, the DC stressed that the administration remains committed to ensuring a safe, comfortable and dignified living environment for them. ANB
