JAMMU, NOVEMBER 11: In a vibrant celebration of 150 years of the iconic national song “Vande Mataram,” the Cultural Unit of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) Jammu organized cultural programs today at Apsara Road and Raghunath Bazar. The events showcased colorful presentations emphasizing themes of unity, integrity, and nationalism.
The programs highlighted the enduring legacy of “Vande Mataram,” a symbol of India’s unity, strength, and freedom, aiming to rekindle patriotic fervor and inspire citizens across generations. Artists from the DIPR Cultural Unit performed patriotic songs and thematic presentations that celebrated national pride and cultural harmony. The collective rendition of “Vande Mataram” by the artists stood out, resonating deeply with the audience.
Enhancing the celebrations, the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) Band performed stirring patriotic tunes, evoking pride and earning applause from the crowd at both venues.
The events drew large gatherings of locals, traders, students, and visitors, along with officers and officials from DIPR Jammu and the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
These twin events at Apsara Road and Raghunath Bazar marked Phase-I of the nationwide celebration of 150 Years of “Vande Mataram,” aimed at promoting national unity, pride, and cultural togetherness through art and music.
The programs were conducted under the guidance of Joint Director Information Jammu, Deepak Dubey, and supervision of Cultural Officer Mukesh Kumar.
