Gandhi Global Family Delegation Meets LG Manoj Sinha, Praises Success of Nasha Mukt J&K Campaign
Srinagar, July 3: A delegation of the Gandhi Global Family (GGF), Kashmir Chapter, led by its Jammu and Kashmir President, Dr. S.P. Varma, on Friday called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan and appreciated the impact of the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan in addressing the challenge of drug abuse across the Union Territory.
During the meeting, the delegation commended the sustained efforts of the Jammu and Kashmir Administration in raising awareness against substance abuse and promoting a drug-free society through coordinated community participation and institutional support.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha appreciated the social initiatives undertaken by the Gandhi Global Family and urged its members to continue contributing towards the promotion of peace, communal harmony, environmental conservation, youth development, and women’s empowerment. He underscored the important role of civil society organisations in advancing inclusive development and strengthening social values.
The delegation comprised Dr. S.P. Varma, Haji Ghulam Nabi Dar, Fasil Ali Dar, Fayaz Ahmad Jan, Ghulam Rasool Khan, Javeed Ahmad Tak, Dr. Mehjabeena Nabi, Tripta Varma, S. Bupinder Singh, Babita Bhat, Malik Noor-ul-Amin, Roma Wani, Philip John, Sheikh Firdous, Qazi Umer, and Hamidullah Hamid.
