The India–UK Joint Military Exercise AJEYA WARRIOR-25 concluded today at the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan, marking the end of two weeks of intensive training aimed at counter-terrorism operations in semi-urban environments under a UN mandate. A total of 240 personnel from both nations took part in this 8th edition of the exercise.
Soldiers from the Indian Army’s Sikh Regiment and the UK Army’s Royal Gurkha Rifles carried out joint tactical drills, combat conditioning, heliborne operations, room-intervention training, and cordon-and-search missions. These were accompanied by collaborative planning sessions and operational discussions. The final validation phase highlighted the high degree of interoperability, precision, and jointmanship achieved by both contingents.
The closing ceremony featured cultural performances and the felicitation of outstanding participants, underscoring the camaraderie developed during the exercise. An equipment display showcasing indigenous weapon systems under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative was also organised.
AJEYA WARRIOR-25 further strengthened defence cooperation between India and the United Kingdom, reaffirming their shared commitment to global peace and security.
