The Indian Army has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Podar Education Network, Mumbai, aimed at expanding educational support for the children of serving personnel, veterans, and families of soldiers who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
As part of the agreement, Podar Education Network’s 148 schools across the country will extend substantial educational assistance. The initiative includes a 100 per cent tuition fee scholarship for up to four wards of personnel who died in harness or were declared battle casualties in each of the 148 schools. Additionally, a 50 per cent tuition fee scholarship will be provided to up to ten wards of serving and retired Army personnel in each school.
Beyond tuition fee waivers, the support package also covers essential educational requirements, including books, uniforms, school kits and a one-time admission fee.
The collaboration underscores the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of its personnel and their families, while further strengthening institutional mechanisms to ensure access to quality education for the Army fraternity.
