Srinagar, Oct 17 (ANB): The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued its latest weather forecast for Jammu & Kashmir, predicting mainly dry conditions over the region for the next week, with isolated very light rain/thunderstorms expected over the higher reaches of the Kashmir division. No significant weather warnings have been issued.

- Kashmir Division:
- From 17th to 23rd October 2024, the forecast indicates predominantly dry weather across the region. The only exception is a slight possibility of isolated rain or thunderstorms in higher altitudes on 17th and 18th October.
- Jammu Division:
- Dry weather is expected throughout the division from 17th to 23rd October. No rainfall or adverse weather conditions are forecast for the period.
- No Weather Warnings: Both the Kashmir and Jammu divisions are free from any significant weather warnings, with the IMD advising no need for immediate action.
District-wise Forecast for 18th October 2024:
- Srinagar: Partly cloudy to generally cloudy sky with temperatures ranging between 7°C (minimum) and 25°C (maximum).
- Jammu: Clear skies with a temperature range between 19°C (minimum) and 31°C (maximum).
- Muzaffarabad: Clear skies with temperatures fluctuating between 15°C (minimum) and 32°C (maximum).
- Mirpur: Partly cloudy sky with temperatures between 18°C (minimum) and 32°C (maximum).
Outlook for Subsequent Days:
- No major changes in weather conditions are expected beyond the 24-hour forecast. The weather will remain dry, and the risk of any weather-induced disruptions is minimal.
