Jammu, Oct 28: In a significant anti-narcotics operation, Jammu Police on Monday arrested a woman allegedly involved in drug peddling and recovered heroin-like substance, cash, and a weighing scale from her possession.
Acting under the supervision of SSP Jammu and direct guidance of SP City South, SDPO City East, and SHO Police Station Bahu Fort, a police team from Police Post Narwal apprehended the suspect during routine patrolling in the Rajiv Nagar (Boot Polish Mohalla) area.
The accused has been identified as Isha, daughter of Vijay, resident of Rajiv Nagar, Narwal, District Jammu. According to police, a search of her belongings led to the recovery of 8 grams of heroin-like substance, ₹1,330 in cash, and one electronic weighing scale.
Police said a case under FIR No. 311/2025 has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort under sections 8/21/22/27A of the NDPS Act, and the accused has been taken into custody for further investigation.
Jammu Police reaffirmed its commitment to combat the drug menace and urged the public to share any information related to drug trafficking or abuse in their localities.
