LG Warns Anti-Peace Elements of Stern Action, Calls on J&K Police Recruits to Uphold Public Trust and Security


Jammu, March 17: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday asserted that any individual or group attempting to disturb peace, law and order, or endanger civilian lives in Jammu and Kashmir will face stringent consequences, as he addressed the Passing Out Parade of constables at STC Talwara in Reasi district.
Emphasizing a zero-tolerance approach, the Lieutenant Governor said that any attempt to disrupt public peace, hinder economic activity, or incite violence would be dealt with firmly under the law, reaffirming the unwavering commitment of Jammu and Kashmir Police to maintain stability and order.
Congratulating 430 newly inducted constables on successfully completing rigorous training, Sinha urged them to safeguard the significant achievements made in the Union Territory over the past several years. He noted that J&K Police has played a crucial role in moving towards a terror-free and crime-free society, contributing to good governance, innovation, social cohesion, and justice.
Calling for decisive action against divisive forces, the Lieutenant Governor stressed the need to uproot elements promoting separatism and attempting to derail development, terming his message a “stern warning” to such groups.
Highlighting the importance of professionalism and ethics, he reminded the recruits that public trust remains their most valuable asset, which must be earned through integrity, impartiality, and empathy. He urged them to uphold the dignity of every citizen while performing their duties.
Sinha reiterated that the police force remains fully committed to peace, security, and democratic values, ensuring an environment conducive to progress. He added that with coordinated efforts and a comprehensive strategy involving all stakeholders, Jammu and Kashmir is steadily moving towards complete eradication of terrorism.
On the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor also presented awards to outstanding trainees, with Johnny Victor securing the All-Round Best Trainee title, followed by Vishal Bharat and Yogesh Sharma. Other awardees included Pankaj Raina (Indoor Best), Touseef Ahmed Lone (Outdoor Best), Tahir Rashid Dar (Best Marksman), Tasleem Kosar (Parade Commander), and Sushant Sharma (Second-in-Command).
Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat and other senior officials were present at the ceremony.
