Mian Altaf Ahmad Larvi Lays Foundation Stone for Mosque at Chhajla Baba Peer Haider Shah Ziyarat

MANKOTE, POONCH, SEPTEMBER 27: Member of Parliament from the Anantnag–Rajouri Parliamentary Constituency, Mian Altaf Ahmad Larvi, laid the foundation stone for the construction of a mosque at Chhajla Baba Peer Haider Shah Ziyarat in Mankote tehsil of Poonch district on Saturday. The foundation stone-laying ceremony was attended by a large number of local residents, religious personalities, senior citizens, youth and prominent members of the community. Special prayers were offered for peace, prosperity, good health and the well-being of the people of Chhajla, Mankote and the entire Poonch district. Prayers were also offered for unity, brotherhood, communal harmony and the continued development of the region. During the programme, participants also discussed various social issues confronting the community, with particular emphasis on the growing challenge of drug abuse among the younger generation. Speakers called for concerted efforts by parents, religious leaders, teachers, senior citizens, youth and community representatives to prevent drug abuse and create greater awareness among young people. Parents were urged to maintain regular communication with their children and provide them with proper guidance and support. Young people were encouraged to stay away from drugs and channel their energies towards education, sports, skill development, employment and other constructive activities. The importance of faith, unity and social harmony was also emphasised during the gathering. Participants expressed hope that the proposed mosque would serve not only as a place of worship but also as a centre for community interaction and strengthening social bonds. The organisers expressed gratitude to Mian Altaf Ahmad Larvi, donors, local residents, religious personalities, youth and all those associated with the construction of the mosque and development of the Ziyarat.
