Modi govt ensured due recognition of Sikh community’s contributions: Sat Sharma Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee calls upon Sat Sharma, Ashok Koul


 

Jammu:11: March: ANB:The commitment of the Modi government to confer a rightful place to the rich culture and heritage of Bharat has ensured the recognition of contributions of Sikh community at the societal, national and international level.

This was stated by Sat Sharma CA, President, J&K BJP, while Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee GTB Nagar, Channi Rama, Jammu, called upon the BJP President to address certain issues faced by the Community.

President of Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee GTB Nagar, Channi Rama (Sector 2), S. Balbir Singh, along with Harpreet Singh and other committee members, called upon BJP President Sat Sharma and BJP General Secretary (organization) Ashok Koul at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

BJP Minority Morcha President Ranjodh Singh Nalwa facilitated the meeting to discuss key issues concerning the Sikh community.

Sat Sharma, while listening to the issues put forth by the Sikh Deputation, said that all of their genuine issues would be resolved at the earliest. He said that the Modi government has very high regards for the Sikh Gurus and the community and has made numerous efforts to give due recognition to the community and to bring their sacrifices and contributions before the masses at large.

Sat Sharma said that the Modi government ensured the dignified and honourable bringing of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji to India from Afghanistan. He said that the government took a landmark decision by declaring 'Veer Bal Diwas' on December 26 in memory of four Sahibzade, the brave sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. This recognition ensures that future generations remember their unparalleled courage and devotion. He said that Kartarpur Corridor was opened, fulfilling a long-pending demand of Sikhs by allowing them to visit Kartarpur sahib Gurdwara in Pakistan without a visa through the corridor. He added that the Modi government wiped the tears of Riot-victims through long-needed legal measures. According to the news service associated News Bureau ANB that the Ashok Koul said that the people hailing from all sections of society are appreciating the steps by the Modi government to address the issues faced by them. He said that this confidence is built on the party’s belief on “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas” to benefit every person.


Ranjodh Singh Nalwa assured the committee of taking up the matter with the concerned authorities for immediate resolution.

The deputation lauded the efforts of the Modi government in meeting the long pending demands of the Sikh community at large and the specific issues in particular. During the meeting, the primary concerns raised included the irregular water supply and the urgent need for the installation of a transformer for Gurdwara Sahib. The committee members emphasized the necessity of resolving these issues at the earliest to ensure smooth functioning of the Gurdwara and convenience for the devotees. ANB
