MP Gulam Ali Khatana Interacts with Students at SKIE Parraypora Campus

Srinagar, September 28: Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Gulam Ali Khatana on Monday interacted with students at the SKIE Parraypora Campus in Srinagar, engaging with young members of the Scheduled Tribe (ST) and ST-II communities on educational challenges and issues affecting their academic progress. During the interaction, Khatana held an open and informal dialogue with the students, who shared their experiences and highlighted educational hurdles and systemic challenges faced by members of tribal communities. The MP listened to the concerns raised by the students and discussed the importance of ensuring greater opportunities and platforms for young people from tribal communities. The interaction provided students an opportunity to articulate their concerns and perspectives on education and related issues, while also highlighting the aspirations of Jammu and Kashmir's younger generation. Khatana thanked SKIE Classes for facilitating the interaction and said that the voices and concerns of tribal youth should receive due attention and appropriate platforms. The programme focused on direct engagement between the elected representative and students, with discussions centred on education, opportunities and challenges faced by ST and ST-II students. ANB
