In a wide-ranging press conference held at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC), Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana outlined a vision of inclusive development, youth engagement, and national integration for Jammu and Kashmir. The interaction with the media also featured the formal announcement of the upcoming “Bharat Sanrachna Jammu & Kashmir 2025” mega exhibition.
Addressing journalists, Khatana reiterated the Centre’s commitment to peace and sustainable development across the Union Territory. He highlighted key initiatives focused on infrastructure expansion, employment generation, youth empowerment, and grassroots democracy.
“Peace, development, and youth participation are the cornerstones of our vision for Jammu and Kashmir,” said Khatana. “We are determined to ensure that every community becomes part of this transformative journey.”

The MP called upon civil society and political actors to join hands with the administration in fostering long-term stability and progress in the region. Responding to questions, he addressed issues related to transparency in development funding, implementation of welfare schemes, and project delivery timelines.
A central feature of the briefing was the unveiling of “Bharat Sanrachna Jammu & Kashmir 2025”, a three-day national-level public outreach and exhibition initiative to be held from July 10 to 12 at SKICC. Organized by Tarmeh Events under his guidance, the event aims to showcase the Government of India’s flagship schemes and technological advancements under the Amritkaal vision.
The exhibition will bring together leading ministries and institutions including DRDO, ISRO, ICAR, ICMR, the Ministries of MSME, Commerce, Tourism, and Textiles, among others. It will serve as a dynamic platform for students, youth, entrepreneurs, and the general public to engage with innovations and real-time opportunities in science, technology, agriculture, space, health, and skill development
“This is more than an event it is a platform for empowerment and national unity,” Khatana asserted. “Hosting it in Srinagar reflects our intent to place J&K at the heart of India’s development story.”
The press meet concluded with a strong appeal for public participation and collaboration to make “Bharat Sanrachna 2025” a milestone in citizen engagement and future-oriented governance in Jammu and Kashmir. ANB
