Nitish Kumar Takes Charge as ADGP Armed, J&K, Reviews Operational Preparedness and Personnel Welfare
Srinagar, August 31: Nitish Kumar, IPS, a 1999-batch officer, has assumed charge as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Armed, Jammu and Kashmir.
Soon after taking charge, the newly appointed ADGP reviewed key operational and administrative matters concerning the Armed Police. He emphasised the need for professionalism, effective coordination, operational commitment and efficient discharge of duties.
Shri Kumar also stressed the importance of personnel welfare, underlining that the well-being and morale of police personnel are integral to maintaining an effective and disciplined force.
During the review, he called for continued focus on operational preparedness, coordination among different formations and adherence to professional standards in the performance of duties.
His assumption of charge marks the beginning of his tenure at a key position overseeing the Armed Police in Jammu and Kashmir.
