New Delhi, March 24: ANB: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said, he received a call from US President Donald Trump, during which the two leaders held a “useful exchange of views” on the evolving situation in West Asia.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister stated that India has reiterated its firm position in favour of de-escalation and the early restoration of peace in the region, amid growing concerns over regional stability.
Highlighting the strategic and economic significance of the Strait of Hormuz, Modi emphasized that ensuring its openness, security, and accessibility remains critical for the global community.
The two leaders also agreed to remain in close contact regarding ongoing efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability in West Asia, reflecting a shared commitment to diplomatic engagement during the crisis. ANB
