Srinagar Police Attaches Rs 4 Crore Property of Drug Trafficker in Budgam

Srinagar Police has attached an immovable property in Budgam district, valued at approximately ₹4 crore, as part of its ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking and narcotics-related activities. The property, belonging to Fayaz Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Hussain Dar, a resident of Ichgam, Budgam, was attached by Police Station Khanyar in connection with FIR No. 04/2026 registered under Sections 8 and 21 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. The attached assets include a two-storeyed residential house with an attic structure and 5 kanals and 17 marlas of land bearing Khasra Nos. 415/416 at Ichgam, Budgam. The property has an estimated market value of around ₹4 crore. Police said the property was attached under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act after being identified as an illegally acquired asset allegedly derived from proceeds of narcotic drug trafficking. The action forms part of J&K Police’s broader strategy to dismantle the financial networks supporting the illegal drug trade by targeting assets allegedly generated through narcotics-related activities. Srinagar Police reiterated its commitment to making the city drug-free and said sustained and stringent action would continue against drug traffickers, their associates and illegally acquired assets.
