*Srinagar Police Extends Frontline Support Amid Adverse Weather*

Srinagar, September 3: ANB; Amid the continuing spell of inclement weather in Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar Police, in coordination with the District Administration, has put in place a robust response mechanism to ensure public safety and mobility across the city.

Police teams have been deployed at key locations to assist stranded civilians, particularly in low-lying and waterlogged areas. They are also working in close coordination with civil departments for dewatering and sanitation measures, supporting Traffic Police in managing congested routes, diverting vehicles from inundated stretches, and responding to distress calls through the Police Control Room (PCR) and dedicated helplines.

The public has been advised to avoid non-essential travel during heavy rainfall and promptly report incidents of waterlogging, fallen trees, or electric hazards to the nearest Police Station or PCR. Citizens in need of urgent help can also contact the CUG numbers of district police officers.

Reiterating its commitment, Srinagar Police said it will continue to provide all possible assistance to safeguard the lives and well-being of residents during the ongoing weather situation. ANB
