Indore, November 15: The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, today called upon the youth of India to become the architects of the nation’s march toward a self-reliant, modern, and Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Addressing students at the Convocation Ceremony of SAGE University, Indore, the Lt Governor urged young minds to “adopt new ideas, innovate with confidence, and lead India’s transformative journey with responsibility and determination.”
LG Kavinder underscored that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision for Viksit Bharat 2047 places youth at the heart of national development. He said the coming two decades will shape India’s global stature, and it is the responsibility of the young generation to convert education into meaningful societal contribution. A convocation, he reminded students, marks not the end of learning but the beginning of applying knowledge with purpose, integrity and responsibility.
Emphasizing the need for innovation, skill development, and futuristic learning, he said that the youth must evolve into creators, thinkers and leaders who can strengthen India’s technological and economic landscape. He urged students to embrace new ideas, cultivate modern skills and direct their efforts toward nation-building.
“The success of Viksit Bharat depends on how effectively our youth transform knowledge into innovation—and innovation into impact,” he said.
Highlighting Ladakh’s rapid development, LG Kavinder described the Himalayan Union Territory as an emerging national hub for education, climate research, renewable energy, mountain ecology and cutting-edge innovation.
He noted significant progress in modernizing school infrastructure, integrating technology into classrooms and expanding access to quality higher education in the region.
Reaffirming Ladakh’s commitment to empowering youth, he said the administration is working to build an ecosystem that nurtures not only job seekers but job creators—driving entrepreneurship, research and sustainable development.
In his concluding remarks, the Lt Governor commended SAGE University for its achievements in educational quality, modern learning facilities and industry partnerships. He said the University’s rapid progress, academic excellence and emphasis on innovation reflect the spirit of a confident, self-reliant and future-ready India.
