540 Agniveers Pass Out from JAK LI Regimental Centre, Reinforcing Indian Army’s Future Ranks

Srinagar, May 30, 2026: In a grand display of military discipline, precision and patriotism, 540 Agniveers of the seventh batch successfully graduated from the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI) Regimental Centre during an Attestation and Passing Out Parade held in Srinagar on Saturday. Set against the scenic backdrop of the Kashmir Valley, the ceremony marked the culmination of months of intensive military training and the formal induction of the young recruits into the ranks of the Indian Army. The event symbolised their transformation into trained soldiers prepared to serve the nation with dedication, honour and commitment. The parade was reviewed by the General Officer Commanding (GOC), White Knight Corps, who lauded the Agniveers for their exemplary turnout, synchronised drill movements and high standards of military bearing. Senior military officers, civil dignitaries and family members of the recruits attended the ceremony, adding significance and emotion to the occasion. The attestation ceremony followed a rigorous training programme that included physical conditioning, tactical instruction and character development. Military officials said the event reflected the professionalism, discipline and rich traditions upheld by the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Centre. Addressing the newly attested soldiers, the GOC, White Knight Corps, urged them to uphold the finest traditions of the Indian Army and remain steadfast in their service to the nation. He commended the Agniveers for their determination, resilience and commitment displayed throughout their demanding training period. The senior officer also appreciated the efforts of the instructors and training staff for successfully shaping the recruits into disciplined and combat-ready soldiers capable of meeting future operational challenges. In a special gesture recognising the contribution of families, dignitaries presented the parents of the Agniveers with the “Gaurav Padak,” honouring their sacrifice and support in sending their sons to serve the nation. The ceremony reached an emotional high point as the young soldiers took the oath of allegiance and marched past with confidence and pride. With the National Flag fluttering above the parade ground and the final salute resonating across the venue, the event stood as a reaffirmation of the spirit of patriotism and the commitment of India’s youth towards safeguarding the nation’s unity, integrity and security.
