CM Omar Abdullah Attends Concluding Day of ‘Financing India’s Journey towards Viksit Bharat’ Conference , Deliberations focus on developmental financing, agricultural transformation and energy transition
NEW DELHI, SEPTEMBER 19: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today attended the concluding day of the two-day high-level conference on “Financing India’s Journey towards Viksit Bharat”, organised by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, in New Delhi.
The conference brought together Finance Ministers and Finance Secretaries of States and Union Territories with legislatures to deliberate on strategies for financing India’s long-term development and economic growth.
During the deliberations, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of evolving sustainable financial strategies for the long-term development of the country as well as Jammu and Kashmir, with particular focus on developmental financing, agricultural transformation and renewable energy.
The conference featured detailed discussions by eminent economists and experts on various aspects of financing India’s shared vision of becoming a developed nation.
The sessions covered key themes including the macroeconomic outlook, financing agricultural transformation and financing the energy transition.
The deliberations provided an opportunity to examine emerging challenges and explore avenues for strengthening financial mechanisms to support sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
The conference concluded with discussions on the financial priorities and strategies required to support India’s development journey towards Viksit Bharat. ANB
