Jaipur, December 20, 2025:The Curtain Raiser ceremony for the Army Day Parade 2026 was organised at JECRC University, Jaipur, under the aegis of the Sapta Shakti Command, marking the formal build-up to the prestigious national event. The ceremony highlighted the Indian Army’s ethos of valour, sacrifice and service to the nation, while reinforcing the ideals of patriotism and national unity.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma attended the event as the Chief Guest and lauded the professionalism, discipline and enduring legacy of the Indian Army. He said the Army has played a pivotal role in nation-building and noted that the upcoming parade would present a unique blend of military tradition, bravery and Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage.
Addressing the gathering, Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander, Sapta Shakti Command, underlined the deep-rooted bond between the Armed Forces and the people of Rajasthan. He reiterated the Army’s commitment to safeguarding the nation’s security and welfare, and invited citizens to witness the Army Day Parade 2026, being held outside a military cantonment for the first time, showcasing India’s military strength and operational excellence.
Senior civil and police officials, veterans, serving personnel and their families, NCC cadets, and students and faculty of JECRC University were present on the occasion. During the ceremony, Veer Naris and distinguished veterans were felicitated by the Chief Guest in recognition of the sacrifices made by soldiers and their families, as well as the notable contributions of veterans in civilian life.
The event also saw the unveiling of the teaser for the Army Day Parade 2026, offering a visual glimpse into the Indian Army’s traditions and operational achievements, which drew wide appreciation from the audience.
The Curtain Raiser reinforced the nation’s respect and gratitude towards its armed forces and strengthened the civil-military connect in the region. Citizens were urged to participate in and witness the Army Day Parade 2026, set to be held in Jaipur, marking a historic first for the Pink City.
