Budgam, April 3: The Deputy Commissioner (DC )Budgam Athar Aamir khan (IAS) today convened a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of developmental projects and address key public issues in Sub-Division Beerwah.
The meeting covered all major sectors and departments, with a detailed overview of the administrative and infrastructural landscape of the sub-division, which comprises four tehsils (Beerwah, Khag, Magam, Narbal), 162 revenue villages, six blocks, two municipalities, and multiple health and engineering divisions.
The chair was apprised by SDM beerwah Taufeeq Gazi, regarding various departments aspects of Sub-division Beerwah . Threadbare discussions were held on projects including the Magam Bypass Road,Magam Bridge Project,Revenue Buildings at Magam,Revenue Buildings at Narbal,Revenue Buildings at Poshker,WSS Gondipora,Filtration Plant at Rathsun
Chewdara–Wanihama Scheme,WSS Beerwah,WSS Magam,Plastic Waste Management Unit at Rathsun
Panchayat Ghar Mamgund,Panchayat Ghar Najan
Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant at Goripora,Establishment of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV),Shifting of HT Line over Beerwah Bridge,Illegal extraction in Nallah Sukhnag
Regulation of Brick Kilns,Magam Hospital
Khag Hospital,Beerwah Hospital, ATM in SK pora block, street lights repair, upgradation of casualty block of SDH Magam etc .
The DC stressed the need for strict adherence to timelines and directed all departments to adopt a proactive and result-oriented approach.
He emphasized that inter-departmental coordination is crucial for timely execution of projects and resolution of public issues.
He further instructed officers to conduct regular field visits, closely monitor progress on the ground, and ensure that bottlenecks are identified and addressed promptly.
The DC reiterated that delivery of essential services to the public must not be compromised and called for enhanced accountability at all levels.
The DC also directed all officers of the concerned division to submit a comprehensive list of issues and projects hampering the development of the area.
He stated that the identified concerns will be duly addressed and incorporated into the upcoming district plans for timely redressal
The meeting concluded with directions to ensure early completion of all ongoing works and improved grievance redressal mechanisms across the sub-division
Besides , PO ICDS Budgam, SDM Beerwah, JD planning Budgam , SE R&B cirlce budgam, ACD, ACP, CMO, CEO, all Tehsildar’s, all BDOs , all Executive Engineers, all EOs and other concerned officers of the sub-division were present in the meeting.
