Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, IPS, along with Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen Tuti, IPS, and Inspector General of Police, CRPF Jammu Sector, R. Gopala Krishna Rao, IPS, today conducted a comprehensive security review of key religious and heritage sites in Jammu, including Raghunath Mandir, Bahu Fort and Tirupati Balaji Mandir.
During the review, emphasis was laid on strengthening multi-layered security arrangements, improving crowd management mechanisms and ensuring optimal use of technology to enhance situational awareness. The senior officers interacted with personnel deployed on the ground and issued necessary directions to further tighten security, address vulnerabilities and ensure seamless coordination among the Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF, ITBP and other stakeholders. Special focus was placed on preparedness for contingencies and swift response to any emergent situation.
The joint review was aimed at ensuring a safe and secure environment for devotees and visitors while maintaining public confidence. The DGP reiterated the commitment of all security agencies to uphold peace and security in the region through proactive planning and regular security assessments.
Deputy Inspector General, JSK Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma; Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu, Joginder Singh, JKPS; Senior Superintendent of Police Security, Rajesh Sharma; Superintendent of Police PC Jammu, Kameshwar Puri, JKPS; Superintendent of Police South, Ajay Sharma, JKPS, along with senior officers of CRPF and ITBP, were also present during the review.
